The below powerful strategies are accumulation of wisdoms and experiences after 5 years of struggle in internet marketing, internet business and affiliate marketing. Many internet business practitioners don't want to reveal these insider tactics and rather to keep it for themselves. They only tell you the outer of internet marketing not their insider tactics and strategy.

There are two kinds of internet marketing strategy : shortcut and ideal. Shortcut strategy like most spammers is short term, fast, active, efficient, and cheap but not effective in getting the result. You must post (promote) in a boring way to newsgroups, forums (message board, email, discussion list). Shortcut way is a high risk type of promotion because you will get flamed back even sued by the person who is annoyed by your promotion. US Congress has issued the new law about spamming that victim of spammer could sue the unsolicited promoter. Ideal internet marketing strategy is a long term, passive, effective, not efficient (high cost), no need to promote boringly because visitors will find your website through links on search engines, sig files, and articles. This type of promotion is legal, dynamic and has many forms of alternative promotion strategy through setting up (design) a professional looking website, getting a domain name, bidding keyword on pay per click search engine, buying an advertising space on yahoo search engine, renting opt in list email, banner exchanging, writing an ezine (electonic magazine), keyword analyzing or web site positioning and writing articles with a good recommendation (copy writing) for referring product.

Based on experience it is better to sell one product (niche positioning) in multiple ways of promotion (ideal type) than selling multiple products with only few ways of promotion (shortcut type), because by focusing your energy and effort in only one product you could get more targeted result than scattering your sanity and concentration to many products. Store concept is already decaying because of too many competitors and  there is a law on internet marketing that the first time appeared site will be remembered so you can not match the big Amazon.com store which has operated since 1995. On the internet it is not the quantity of products that determine sales but the quality (depth) of internet marketing effort. If you can not write a good copy writing you can hire a professional copywriter or joint the content syndication or partnership with other article writer so you don't have to compose an article. Designing a website should be targeted to convert visitors to buyers. Although your website must be professional looking, it should not be over stylish with many graphics that need a long time for downloading because visitors could jump to other website. Your selling site should has a clear navigation and focus on one product one keyword and has many recommendation texts not graphics so search engine could index your site. 

Webpositioning to search engine for increasing traffic is a real tactic not just a myth and has been proven by many practitioners' testimonials. Search Engine is a primary cause that trigger visitors beside newsgroups, email, discussion list, forums. Ezine writing is only a derivative promotion type although some famous ezine writers claim that ezine is the ultimate traffic booster. Visitors only subscribe to an ezine after they have found your website through link on search engines, forums, newsgroups, emails or discussion lists.   If you can not write an ezine article you could concentrate on search engine positioning by creating many doorways which focusing only on one or two targeted keywords. But be careful some search engines have implemented new policy regarding doorways and consider it as index spamming . If you find it is very hard to position website to search engine you could get the webposition software or you could take guerrilla steps by promoting on newsgroups and classified ads first. From internet marketing practioner's experience and research internet marketing without forms (guerrilla) sometimes could beat the establish heavy capital invested competitor's website in sales achievement. Don't be trapped in other person's competence that recommend you should write an ezine article if you are not a professional editor (journalist) or you are not english native born. Be feel free to experiment with many types on internet marketing forms beside ezine.

Stable high income from internet sales is the dream of every internet marketer and to achieve it requires several steps. Your website should attract internet surfers with free service by using cgi scripts on your website for example free web hosting service or free autoresponder service (with annoying ads that hurt their credibility/comfort) and then be persuaded to upgrade to premium monthly paid service (signing up a premium   membership/recurrant monthly paid account).  This strategy only applicable to recurrant monthly paid service so after customer upraded to premium (paid) membership account you will get residual  monthly income and you don't have to sell to new customers to get income.

Don't try to sell too many affiliate products but focus on selling your website's free content (service) with advertising (backend product) affiliate link (pay per sale / pay per impression banner) so you are not confused by handling too many affiliate products promotion, but just focus only on your website content quality improvement and promotion. If your affiliate products don't get buyers you still get the  pay per impression advertising income because of many visitors who want to read your free high quality informative content (use your free service). Affiliate products are only as a backend products and must be relevant with your main product (your information content / service) not the reverse one by adapting your content to affiliate product. 

The reality in internet micro marketing (your marketing achievement) sometimes does not correspond with internet macro research and survey (for example: internet marketing research reveal that many internet businesses are going bankrupt). Strange enough that many small internet business websites still earn hundred thousand dollars a month while on the other hand many heavy capital venture invested internet business websites close their businesses because of unprofitable earnings. You should trust your belief and keep doing what you think will get reward for you because although you are only one person with one website you could change the market equilibrium with work hard and persistence. 

And finally practice is more important than the theory so don't just waste your time for reading and collecting information about internet marketing without applying the information for your internet business. Sales order is resulted from persistence practice not just advanced strategy guide.
